Crock Pot Garden Stew
Excellent summertime recipe when you crave that garden-fresh taste!!
This recipe started out entirely different, so the measurements are all estimates.
1 bunch (approx 1 lb) Swiss chard (kale would also work great)
1 can white northern beans
2 cans tomatoes, pureed (I used 4 large fresh tomatoes)
Meat optional--original recipe was no meat (I added some mini pepperoni, also great with chicken, ground beef or sausage.)
Onion powder (to taste, approx 1/2 tsp)
Garlic powder (to taste, approx 1 tsp)
Salt to taste
Remove stems from Swiss chard. Chop & rinse. Add all ingredients to crock pot. Stir. Cook on low 3-5 hours, stirring occasionally. Optional cheddar or Parmesan topping when complete.

When U Just Can't Cook...
Contributed by Hope Clyde:
I don't cook much, but I wanted to contribute to your food blog. So here is THE recipe I know............
You will need approximately $15.00, a car, and a family to feed.
First, gather all of your family into the family vehicle. Once they are all secured with seat belts, head to the closest McDonald's to your home.
Pull through the drive-thru (don't worry, the arrows will tell you where to go).
While in the drive-thru, try to stay off your phone (they have an opinion about it there).
When you come to the magical box with "the voice", order the desired food for your family and head to the first window.
THAT is where the first person will want you to pay, at the second window is where the person will hand you your food.
Remember to be kind and ask for extra ketchup!!!!
While eating this delicious meal, think of Randy Clyde and how lucky he is to eat this meal ALL THE TIME!!!!!!
Now, you might want to copy and paste this so you get it exact. You don't want to vary from this recipe very much, it just isn't recommended!!!!!
ENJOY!!!!
